" I would like to take the time to express my appreciation to Kathryn Ruscitto, president of St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center; Fred Letourneau, vice president for physician enterprise and Derrick Murry, chief operating officer for St. Joseph’s Medical, P.C., for their continued efforts to improve the quality of services brought to the patients they serve. They have proven to me and the families I represent that St. Joseph’s Hospital truly does make patient care its single, highest priority, and the hospital is undoubtedly committed to the people of this community." - Julie, Fayetteville
"My name is Jennifer Miller and I feel compelled to tell you what a gem you have in Corinne.
To give you little history; Last Tuesday, June 29th I had an appointment with my primary: Dr. Colvin. Upon review of my lab results and recent medical concerns; she suggested that I visit a rheumatologist and that she forwarded my info to the referral department of your facility.
With anxious waiting and baited breath, I waited to hear from your department, but did not receive a call. I decided to initiate a call to the referral dept on Wednesday, July 7th and spoke with Corinne.
Corinne took the time to listen to my concerns, came up with a game plan and took the ball. She initiated a call with to the specialist office and called me back within minutes with a resolution. I have an appointment with Arthritis Health Associates within the next four weeks instead of eight to twelve weeks. I was so very pleased and it actually brought me to tears that someone listened and went above and beyond. I could not begin to thank her enough.
Please thank her again for me. Its reassuring that you have a employee whom takes their job very seriously and with great pride. Thanks." - Jennifer
"On the night of Saturday January 29th I became alarmed when my ten year old son complained of severe pain on the sole of his foot, and was not able to walk unassisted, following a basketball game. Despite no apparent injury, I believed the pain was severe enough to warrant a trip to St. Joseph's Medical, P.C. Urgent Care.
Following x-rays and an examination it was determined that my son suffered from plantar fasciitis, a painful but not overly serious condition. Mr. Edward Wolfe, an employee at St. Joseph's Medical, P.C., took the time to explain the disorder in detail, and, even more helpfully, related his own experiences with it to my son. He offered much practical advice on how to treat and work to prevent future flare-ups, and his bedside manor could not have been more appropriate, and reassuring, for a ten year old boy fearing his basketball season was over.
Mr Wolfe is clearly a remarkable asset for the St. Joseph's Medical, P.C. Urgent Care staff. I could not be more impressed with the quality of care we received from this knowledgeable, compassionate and polite gentleman." Sincerely - David M.
I wrote earlier about a situation I was having and I believe that if you’re going to complain, you also need to give out KUDOs too when they happen!
And sometimes the sign of a great organization isn’t just how good you are, though that’s important, greatness shows more in how you handle a situation!
And your crew…Julie and Doreen (which I think is Dr. Laura Martin’s nurse) took care of my “whiny” attitude quickly and efficiently!
Julie actually followed while I was on the phone! Which regardless if my situation was important or not, made me feel like I WAS IMPORTANT and she cared. And by Doreen calling me back personally made me feel like I was worth the time and effort.
Dr. Laura Martin has always been amazing. She is working with me on a situation that isn’t always an easy one. As pain is different from person to person and everyone has a different threshold for pain. She always listens and HEARS me-even when she has a lobby full of folks, I know that she respects my time. She is a definite positive addition to your team at St. Joseph's Medical, P.C.. Thank you again!" - Rachel R.
"Thanks so much to the team at UCE for a very competent and efficient processing at my visit for a bee sting a few weeks ago. From our receptionist who recognized the urgency, to Nurse Bill McCarthy and the clinical team with an efficient triage and set up, to Dr./PA Bill Linsky for providing great care. The staff were very friendly and professional. Within 15 minutes of my arrival I was roomed and had an IV started, another thanks to Bill for the painless and very professional process. I felt very comfortable with the excellent care I received from our UCE staff. Thanks so very much" - Donna
"On Friday, August 19th I telephoned The Woman's Place to arrange to pick up a script for my daughter Michele. We had been calling all week to get the prescription signed by Dawn Scott, NP. This went on for the week. Finally on Friday at 4pm, I was told that I could pick the prescription up on Saturday,
Suite 101B, before they closed at 11am. Saturday I went to suite 101B. It was closed (I was there before 11am), so I went to Urgent Care, they suggested going to another suite (there were several so I lost track of the suite numbers). After bothering way too many staff members who had better
things to do than try to track down a lost prescription, I came across Stephanie. Stephanie is a nurse that works for Dr. Feldman. This angel went out of her way to first find keys to get into the Woman's Place, because we thought that maybe the RX was there. She searched Suites 101B and 101D,
nothing. Finally she came out w/a laptop. She punched the information in, found that the RX was printed, but still lost. She went to Dr. Feldman who wrote out a prescription for 4 pills, enough to cover her for the weekend since at this point she was completely out. I cannot say enough about
Stephanie and what she did for me and my daughter. She was very pleasant, professional and beyond helpful. This entire circus would have left a bad taste in my mouth if not for Stephanie. In today's world of hurry up, I don't have time for this or my time is more valuable than your time, it was so nice to have someone take the time to really care and help us out. She deserves recognition and I hope that you will pass this along to her." - Kelly K.
"2/8/12 I called Donal Hillje pt # 666850 re his account and he asked me to forward this message to Vincent Gemelli, he wanted to thank Vincent Gemelli for saving his life by telling patient he knew he had something wrong with him and he did he had to have 4 stints put in and feels that if it wasn't for Vincent that he might not even be alive to thank him. Keep up the good work patients really appreciate what you do for for all of them. Thanks" - Judy H.

Shauna Sullivan: Nurse, Urgent Care East
“Shauna is a new employee who made Christmas a little brighter for the children having to spend the day in Urgent Care instead of playing with their toys at home. In the spirit of Christmas, every child received a Teddy Bear thanks to Shauna’s generosity. The bears were a hit and sure to become a new Christmas tradition. Thank you Shauna for making this day special for our patients.” – Employee
Dr. Laura Martin: Physician, Family Practice North
“I appreciate all you do; to see me on a hectic day was great; the waiting room was “off the hook” so to speak. I wanted you to be aware that even though people were complaining about the wait, someone spoke up and said “I do not mind waiting for Dr. Martin, it’s worth it when you receive the best.” At this point, the waiting room became very quiet and no one said another word. This patient was right Dr. Martin; you are the best and worth every minute of the wait. There are not too many doctors around like you, and I am honored to be your patient.” – Patient
Brandy Grosvent: Scheduler, Radiology
“My guardian angel… thanks for all your kindness. Your caring words got me to half of my appointments. You’re a very special person and certainly in the right field (healthcare) where people need compassion.” – Patient
“On this Thanksgiving Day, it is appropriate to remember the staff of Urgent Care. If it were not for their medical expertise, my Father would most likely not be with us.
Saturday morning, I got a call from my Mother asking me to quickly come to their home. Dad, 83 years, was very sick and refusing to go to the ER. I told him I knew of a great place that could help him!
From Auburn, we drove to Urgent care. I helped Mom and Dad into the waiting room where they were greeted by receptionists Barbara Erwin and Shirley Fuss. They were efficient and pleasant as we went back and forth to get Dad’s social security number, insurance cards, signature, etc.
After a short wait the charge nurse, Cathy Gilmore, brought my father into a room and recognizing that he was very sick, took his vitals and asked Kristin Ashbarry, PA to examine him. Kristen really stepped up, ordered an IV and several tests. The nurses, Andrea Liedka and Tiffany Labonoski and the critical care tech, Derek Watson all treated my father with respect and dignity along with the highest professional medical care one could ask for. Your wonderful staff kept my father, despite his pain, in a good mood by adapting their personalities to meet the needs of both my mother and father. Thank God, the ultra sound tech Cindy was available to do a sonogram. This test resulted in an ambulance ride to St. Joseph’s Hospital for an emergency cholecystectomy!
Attentive and caring, diagnosing and arranging surgery all resulted in having my dad with us today. A hearty and grateful thanks to the wonderful staff mentioned above, especially Kristin Ashbarry, PA.” – Patient
"I loved the personnel at both the Urgent Care Centers at St. Joseph's Medical, P.C. (05/20/11); Dr. visit at North
Med 5/25/11; pre-opt tests 05/29/11 and finally surgery on 05/31/11. Everyone was very kind to me." - Anette M.

"Dear Dr. Merola,
Just a quick note to tell you that all the staff at Northeast Medical Urgent Care group are not only extremely competent and professional, but made you feel you were being well taken care of. From admissions to the great job of all and particularly Audrey Mathis who performed the procedure of removing a sizable splinter from my arm. I am appreciative.
You certainly should be proud of the organization you put together. Again thank you" - John E.
